These are our Foo-Foo Dogs (Havanese)

They are an outstanding small dog breed.  Very happy and friendly and playful and outgoing.  They are like a big dog in a small dog
body.  Excellent with children and other people and other dogs.  They are wonderful dogs!!

Morgan wanted to get a small lap dog, but Bernie said there was no way we were getting any small ankle biters (a.k.a. yappers), so
we asked him if we were able to find a small breed that was similar to a large breed dog personality, could we get it, and he said yes
(only because he truly thought there was no such a breed).  So we researched every single breed that AKC registers, and came up
with the Havanese breed.  And they are awesome!  Very loving, happy, tolerable, adaptable, intelligent dogs -- and they really
adapt to whatever your lifestyle is -- if you are very active and on the go, they are happy to get in the car and go, go, go with you.
And on the other hand, if you prefer to have a nice, calm dog to hang out with in the recliner, they are happy to sit with you for hours
on end.  They make wonderful family dogs and single person companion dogs.

They do not shed, and are also hypo allergenic--they do not have dander--so they are great for people with dog allergies.  They do,
however, require a lot of grooming/brushing, but if you do not plan to show the dog, it is easiest to keep them in a short "puppy cut"
which would require a haircut every 2-3 months.

The most important thing about raising a Havanese is to realize THEY WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH YOU.  As with any dog, they do
not like being left alone for long periods of time.  They will follow you around the house like a shadow just to be close to you.
Extremely loyal and loving.  We think they are the best small breed out there.
"JOVAHNA"
This is our JoVahna.
Her inner beauty is even
more attractive than her
outer beauty.
This is how Morgan got
started in the show ring.
They make a great team.

This is a tribute to my best dog ever, Vivian.
I have had many dogs throughout my lifetime, but this one was one-in-a-million.  She was loyal beyond belief.
Vivian would go to work with me and sit on the back of my office chair, only to get down and follow me to the
mailbox or the restroom.  One of my old bosses said he wouldn't be surprised if one day he came into work
and I was sitting on a 5-gallon bucket while the dog sat on my chair!  Ha!  Oh it was fun.  Her other favorite
thing was to ride on the front dash of the motorhome and walk around and sleep up there; we finally put her
dog bed up there because that's the only place she wanted to ride.  And she wasn't just a dog (not to me
anyway); anyone who knew her would tell you that.  She was truly special and unique.  Unfortunately, God
wants some of the good ones before their time.  She left us on March 10, 2008.

Dear Vivian:  It has taken me a year to change this webpage, but it's time.  We're all doing good here.  We
still miss you a lot and talk about you often.  Hopefully you will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge when we get
there.  Until then, we know you are in good hands.  I love you girl.  Love, Mom
This is JoVahna after her hair cut.
Notice how the undercoat is much lighter in color.
She still has different colored highlights, but her
coat is now much lighter than her original long-hair
coat.  This is typical for the Havanese breed.  The
only colors that retain their original coloring are
black and whites.  This is something to be aware of
when choosing a puppy, especially if you plan to
keep their coat cut short in a puppy cut.
JoVahna weighs 8 pounds
"RORY"
This is our beautiful boy Rory.
He has thrown some absolutely gorgeous puppies.  Our
kids call him the hairy mammoth because he has such a
thick coat which makes him look almost prehistoric!
Rory weighs 11 pounds -- very stocky and sturdy.
Stud Fee $1,200 to approved bitches.
Stud fee payable at time of breeding.
Brucellosis test required within 30 days of breeding.
MELODY
This is our beautiful Melody girl.  She is just a sweetheart.  In the middle photo,
Melody and Morgan are showing off their matching painted fingernails and hair clip.
Melody is a daughter of JoVahna x Rory.  Melody weighs 10 pounds
OLIVER
This is our little Oliver.  He is just adorable and loves attention more than anyone
else.  He is happy and excited just to be walking next to you.
Oliver is also available for stud service.
He is smaller in size, weighing about 9 pounds.
Oliver's 3-generation pedigree includes CH Tapscott's Prancin Vom Zorr,
CH Zorro Vom Salzetal, and CH Couture's Princess D' Tapscott
